Every boudoir shoot is a unique experience. Clients bring their own personal style and beauty, which is what I like to highlight at each photo session. This lovely model has such natural beauty and grace. I highlighted her toned body and gorgeous face with dramatic lighting and minimal props. The focus stays on her, right where it should be!
When planning your boudoir photography shoot, coordinate your looks with your personal style. Keep in mind that boudoir lingerie may be out of your everyday comfort zone. Staying true to your unique personality and taste will help translate your natural beauty into each and every photo. Playing-up your assets and enhancing your look is what its all about. If you’re playful and sweet, don’t be afraid to add a little color. Want to keep it sultry? Black is anything but basic when it comes to glamorous lingerie. Textures like lace and satin can give a dark color some extra oomph. If you love playing with fashion, come with a variety of looks and you’ll get a collection of sexy photographs with a combination of wardrobe choices for every mood.
There are many occasions to have boudoir photos taken. Anniversary, engagement, wedding gift, birthday, Valentine’s Day, or just to say I Love You. Women get to display their beauty, elegance, flirtiness, glamour, confidence, and playfulness in my studio to make some super-sexy photographs. If you’re in need of an occasion, I say– Celebrate Yourself! Pick some lingerie, get your makeup done in my studio and let’s shoot. Its fun, carefree, and easier than you’d think. Take a look at the lovely model Marie and get some ideas for your boudoir session.
What a great 2010. Thanks to all my clients, each of which was a joy to work with. You’ve all been so supportive and I am so lucky to get to do what I love…make art, with you! I have a lot of projects lined up for 2011 and can’t wait to get started. Also, looking forward to taking on more photography assignments and getting to meet some wonderful new people. Cheers to all!
A big moment in any one’s life is becoming a High School Senior. The excitement, accomplishment, and future are the perfect occasion to commemorate a life milestone with portraits. Expressing individual style and attitude are essential to Senior Pictures. As a photographer, I want my Seniors to feel comfortable, confident, and unique. I discuss with them, and their family, the best way to portray their personality and interests while delivering one-of-a-kind portraits that they will all treasure. This session was a fun way to show Amber’s casual style, sassy attitude, beauty, and love of culinary arts. We shot in Columbus at Whetstone Park, Clintonville, and my studio. I think we’ll see big things from Amber in the future!
Local Columbus dancer, CoCo Loupe, had a performance at Wholly Craft in Clintonville and I was lucky enough to do some promotional photos for her. The Columbus Alive was doing a piece on her performance so we set out to capture the essence of her dance to accompany the story. Her physicality and creativity were electric and our photo shoot started an awesome friendship. My camera has allowed me to meet some great people in great places and I wouldn’t trade my work for the world. If you live in, or are visiting Columbus, check out some of our wonderful performers, artists, shops, and events.

Most pet owners consider their pets a member of the family. Like this fun family, their dog, Rudy, is part of the gang. Walter and his sister Ella enjoyed some outdoor fun at Whetstone Park in Clintonville while Rudy got to snoop around during the shoot. She made the family photo and posed for a few solo portraits as well! Not one to be outdone by his canine friend, Walter was a natural in front of the camera. Once Ella found out how much fun it was, she was ready to show her stuff, too. We got the parents in the mix and had a great family photo session in awesome weather and the wonderful park as our backdrop.

We were done with the shoot and walking to the parking lot when the kids started playing on the bike rack. I got my camera back out of the bag and shot some great candids. Sometimes its the unexpected pictures that the family loves most.
The Short North neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio is one of my favorite places to hang out. Its urban/village-y feel, the shops and restaurants, art and architecture make it a fantastic place to take photos. Rachel and Dean are Columbus natives and love the Short North as much as I do. We decided to wander around for an hour or so and take some photos to commemorate their engagement this past March. We found some great spaces for a casual fun look that best captured the couple.
